Habits :
Found in pastures, meadows, lawns, occasionally indoors.
Diet :
Eat almost anything but are partial to field
crops, especially alfalfa, wheat, oats, rye; will also feed
on textiles of cotton, linen, wool and silk.
Reproduction :
Usually one generation per year,
generally hatch in May, become adults in July and August,
mate, then die in September.
Other Information :
Occasionally break out in massive numbers, with swarms
covering many square miles.
